Renewal of the collaboration agreement with CERN

The Department of Materials Engineering, Applied Mechanics and Construction has renewed its partnership agreement with the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in the field of building the particle accelerator third generation known as Linear Collider Compact (CLIC) , within the project CTF3 MoU (Compact Linear Collider Test Facility).

This collaboration has resulted in the incorporation of students from the High School Mining Engineering as Materials Engineers. The main activities developed are focused on materials characterization and surfaces analysis. In addition, the initial research activities were developed in our laboratories.
